Frequently asked questions

Which printer is best for cotton T-shirt production?

For garment-by-garment cotton printing, the HY-4050 DTG platform prints CMYK + White directly onto cotton apparel. For high-volume transfer workflows that also cover blends, the HY-702 60cm DTF printer is the production choice.

What do you recommend for silk scarves and luxury fabrics?

Direct-to-fabric on the H-Series R2R printers with reactive or acid inks gives the sharp detail and soft hand-feel luxury silk requires. Entry H-1808, core H-1816, flagship H-1832.

Can I print on hard items like phone cases, mugs and glass?

Yes. UV-DTF transfers (HY-401 30UV, HY-702 UV) apply to glass, metal, plastic, wood and ceramics, and the HY-6090 UV flatbed prints rigid substrates directly.

Cotton or polyester - does the fabric change which process I need?

Yes. Natural fibres like cotton print best by DTG (soft hand-feel, garment-by-garment) or DTF transfer, while polyester sportswear and soft signage use sublimation or direct disperse. The H-Series R2R runs reactive, disperse, acid and pigment inks, so a single platform can cover cotton, silk and polyester.

How wide can these printers print for home textiles and soft furnishing?

Up to 2.6m. The H-2632 R2R prints reactive, pigment and disperse across a full 2600mm width for bedding, curtains and cushions; the rest of the H-Series covers 1800mm to 1900mm widths.
