How to qualify these inks for your line
These DTF inks ship factory-direct from the same manufacturer that builds the HY-401 and HY-702 they are tuned for - in-house R&D, no reseller in between. Ink, like film and powder, is a consumable and sits outside the machine warranty (see the support coverage table), which is exactly why the qualification path below matters: prove the full ink, film and powder stack on your own fabric before committing to a production run.
Why the ink stack matters
DTF output is not controlled by ink alone. A stable transfer comes from the combination of white opacity, PET film coating, hot-melt powder, curing temperature, dwell time and heat-press pressure. When these variables are matched, the transfer releases cleanly, keeps edge detail and maintains a soft hand-feel after pressing.
For dark garments, the white channel is the most sensitive part of the system. Good circulation, regular agitation and a clean capping station keep the underbase dense and even. For production buyers, the ink workflow is qualified with the printer, film and powder rather than treating consumables as separate commodity parts.
Recommended qualification path
